When the test was over, MotorTrend named the Mazda3 the best compact sedan with 40 mpg mileage.

Hyundai, Kia Face Lawsuit in Wake of Mileage Misrepresentations

On November 2, the Environmental Protection Agency released the results of an investigation that conflicted with the advertised mileage on Hyundai and Kia cars in the United States.
