“We'll contribute one more acronym to describe the 2014 Mazda6: OMG”

With the launch of the 2014 Mazda6 looming in the near future, January 2013 to be precise, new Mazda dealerships are gearing up for what will definitely be a highly sought after midsized sedan that radiates style and performance. AutoBlog.com’s impressions of the Japanese automaker’s newest iteration in the Mazda6 line of vehicles raves about their hands on experience in France this Fall when they were given the opportunity to test drive the latest Skyactiv equipped Mazda. When on the topic of design, AutoBlog noted “it is the most intensely styled car in the segment. We also happen to think it is the most handsome in the segment by far – and by "far" we mean at least one Astronomical Unit.” The Mazda Experts at Don Mealey’s Sport Mazda in Orlando, Florida agree, this is one hot ticket and it will surely turn heads when driven off the lot!
AutoBlog mentions that they found two “Take this to the bank!” aspects of the new Mazda6, with the first one being style. When it came to the second aspect, AutoBlog proclaimed “the handling is fantastic. If this segment weren't such a big deal we'd be inclined to call it merely "excellent," but we want to make sure there's no misunderstanding as to the performance gap between the Mazda6 and its competitors.” Come January 2013, eager Mazda enthusiasts and fans of the 2014 Mazda6 will be delighted to stroll into their Mazda dealership and get their chance to take a test drive of this beautiful masterpiece of automotive ingenuity. Edmunds Evaluates the New 2014 Mazda6

More 2014 Mazda6 impressions are hitting the internet after last month’s demonstration in France. As a new Mazda dealership in Orlando, the Mazda Experts at Don Mealey’s Sport Mazda are already receiving many inquiries into the latest Mazda6. Equipped with a full suite of Skyactiv innovations, Edmunds’ Inside Line publication gives further insight into how Mazda’s branded technologies impact the driving experience and performance of the vehicle in their first behind the wheel experience with the new fuel efficient sedan.

One of the Skyactiv features that stand out is the new i-ELOOP regenerative braking system. Edmunds reports “Mazda says that a full capacitor can run the entire car, including air-conditioning, for a full minute.” The performance of the capacitor in the 2014 Mazda6 i-ELOOP helps relieve the engine powered alternator by taking the energy produced by braking to charge and distribute the power to run electronic components during a stop. Will Mazda Move into Premium Mini Market?

Mazda is apparently looking into moving into the premium sub-B class auto market, a class of vehicle it has never ventured into before. As a new and pre-owned dealership in Central Florida, we at Don Mealey’s Sport Mazda have sold used mini cars in the past and understand that customers looking for that type of vehicle are primarily using it for local transportation. A move into this class would finally allow us to offer premium small car shoppers a warm welcome into the Mazda family.
The Mazda Kiyora Concept
In an interview with Auto Car, vice-president of research and development at Mazda Europe, Ichiro Hirose, hinted that Mazda could have a mini ready in the next two or three years. This isn’t the first time the Japanese automaker has attempted to venture into this market. In 2008, the Kiyora concept fit the bill of the premium sub-B class but never came to fruition. We will keep our ear to the ground for future announcements about a possible mini Mazda. For more information on Mazda vehicles, parts, and services, visit SportMazdaOrlando.com.

The Mazda RX-7: Returning To A Dealership Near You In 2017

Making a comeback in 2017, Mazda has announced that the beloved RX-7 will be returning to dealerships just in time for the 50th anniversary of the Mazda Cosmo, the original Wankel-powered rotary sports car. As a new Mazda dealership in Orlando, Florida, Don Mealey’s Sport Mazda is excited for the return of this legacy setting coupe especially after Mazda retired their most recent sports car, the RX-8, in 2011. Where the RX-8 failed in fuel economy, the Japanese automaker is aiming to make a turn around and when taking Skyactiv into consideration, they are better equipped with environmentally friendly technologies that can make the new RX-7 a force to be reckoned with.
The 2001 Mazda RX-7 (the last of the RX-7's) was only available in Japan leaving North American auto consumers without the opportunity to easily purchase without the hassle of international importing.

Although little is known about the newest iteration in the lineage of Mazda’s greatest consumer sports car, some details have trickled out from the company’s sports car chief, Nobuhiro Yamamoto. Expect a lighter vehicle similar in weight to the Scion FR-S and closely priced to the Nissan 370Z, which is priced around $33,000 for the base model. More details will emerge as the time gets closer, but expect high demand leading up to its launch. For more information on Mazda vehicles, parts, and accessories, visit the Mazda Experts at SportMazdaOrlando.com. For those located in the Greater Central Florida area, you can contact Sport Mazda to schedule a one-on-one with a Mazda Expert to help answer your questions and fulfill your requests!
