Straight From Moscow: The 2014 Mazda6 Makes Its Global Debut

Back in August, Mazda unveiled the new 2014 Mazda6 at the 2012 Moscow Motor Show bringing new life to the Mazda6 model. Although not much is widely known about the North American specifications of the 2014 Mazda 6, but if we look at the announced Russian specifications, we can get a hint at what is in store or until Mazda announces them. Established technologies like the SKYACTIV-G, SKYACTIV-Drive and SKYACTIV-MT are making a return in the Russian-specified 2014 Mazda6 with more exciting technologies making a debut.

Gone! The "Mazda Smile" seen on previous Mazda grills have been redesigned for sleek simplicity that catches the eye and won't let go!
The 2014 Mazda6 is going to continue offering fuel efficient transportation through several new systems designed to help deter unneeded fuel consumption. The new i-ELOOP will be making its debut in the 2014 Mazda6. It is the world’s-first capacitor-based regenerative braking system that helps use the energy from frequent acceleration and braking to improve fuel efficiency by 10%. Another system making its first appearance is the “i-stop” which is an idling stop system that offers a class-leading restart time of 0.35 seconds and significantly reduces stop-and-go fuel consumption. Mazda is due to make a full announcement for the North American specifications of the 2014 Mazda6.
