i-ACTIVSENSE: The Future of Mazda Safety Coming Soon

When the 2014 Mazda6 launches next year, safety will definitely be a major highlight of changes being introduced to the updated model. Among these features will be the i-ACTIVSENSE, Mazda’s newest perimeter safety monitoring and response system. Sensors installed on the 2014 Mazda6 will be able to help the driver in many events that can occur on the road that requires quick responses. One of these monitoring systems is Mazda Radar Cruise Control which judges traveling speed and distance to the vehicles ahead which causes it to work within a set speed range to maintain a safe following distance adding convenience and safety to cruise control.

The Mazda Radar Cruise Control is only a taste of the many features you will find with i-ACTIVSENSE. The chart above gives a demonstration of the monitoring systems at work. Not only does it provide driver support, but also hazard recognition and collision avoidance/ damage reduction support. Some hazards and conditions that these systems help monitor are lane drifting, oncoming traffic, and blind spots.
